Fabric Manufacturing

OUR YARNS

We buy our yarns from the best suppliers in Spain, Italy, and Turkey.

50% of the yarns we use is spun directly in our facilities.

Most of our fabrics are produced from 100 % polyester yarns ranging from 20 danier to 5000 danier. We also use viscose, poly-cotton, and poly-linen yarns ranging from 8nm – 60 nm.

All our designs can be reproduced from recycled polyester yarns on a customer request.

Recycled polyester, also known as RPET, is obtained by melting down discarded plastics and re-spinning it into new polyester fibre. This helps reduce the demand for new petroleum and the energy needed to produce virgin polymers. Therefore, it is a great alternative for eco-minded customers.

CHEMICAL FINISHING WE APPLY

Chemical finishing processes also referred to as ‘wet’ finishing, can be defined as the use of chemicals to achieve a desired fabric property. They are designed to change the optical, tactile, mechanical strength or dirt-releasing properties of the textile. Chemical finishing typically takes place after the fabric is produced and colored. However, some chemical finishes can be also successfully applied to yarns.

Chemical finishes can be durable or non-durable. Durable finishes can undergo repeated launderings or dry cleanings without losing their effectiveness. On the other hand, non-durable finishes are preferable when only temporary properties are needed or when the finished textile is not going to be washed or dry cleaned. The actual method of finish application depends on the particular chemicals and fabrics involved.

Our fabrics are finished with a standard finishing process. However, upon the request from our customers, we can apply also special or additional finishing.

We offer the following extra finishing:

Anti-pilling finish reduces pilling, an unpleasant phenomenon associated with spun yarn fabrics.

Anti-microbial finish prevents mold, odor and bacterial growth on fabrics finished in it.

Stain resistant finish enables the fabric to repel spills and stains. It also gives the fabric stiffer touch what may limit the options for its subsequent use.

Water resistant finish enables the fabric to repel water. When the water is poured onto the water-repellent fabric, it remains on the fabric surface in the form of droplets.

Finishes enhancing fabric tactile properties aim to improve its feel or touch e.g. its smoothness, hardness, softness, and thickness.

Crush finish results in so-called crush fabrics with distinct creased or wrinkled look.

Fire Resistant or Flame Retardant finish reduces fabric flammability. Depending on where the fabric will be used we can follow the M1 B1 Flame Retardant Standards (European FR Standards for Curtains) or NFPA 701 Standards and provide the necessary certification.

OUR QUALITY

We ensure that all our suppliers and dye houses have high standards by keeping close contact with them through regular visits and controls at their premises. We also pay close attention to the production of our fabrics from choosing the best materials to meticulous quality controls of our final products. All our fabrics are durable but they last longer if they are washed according to the given washing instructions.
